Who are we?

The Thalassian Legion (known as the Fourth Thalassian Legion or simply the Fourth Legion), is, as the name may suggest, a military unit loyal to and in service to the Kingdom of Quel’Thalas.

It was first established approximately twenty years ago following the Scourging of Quel’thalas during the Third War, founded by surviving soldiers of Arthas Menethil’s genocide. Despite the grim reality their people faced, they banded together ranks of many branches to provide safety to their fellow survivors, and perhaps inspire hope in their despairing kin again, while Kael’thas Sunstrider sought salvation for their people.

Since then, the Thalassian Legion has continued to stand strong as one of the various military battalions in Quel’thalas’ defensive arsenal, guided by principles of camaraderie, dedication, and loyalty.

“There are no expendables here.”

The current iteration of the Thalassian Legion is the fourth, hence the Fourth Thalassian Legion or the Fourth Legion, and is led by a triumvrate of High Commanders: Oracle-General Rana Voidmoon, Knight-Commander Vandonna Voidmoon, and Head Magistrix Anara Duskstrider. All sworn to the cause which has long been the battalion’s foremost purpose: to protect the land and citizens of the Kingdom of Quel’Thalas from all external threats.

In accordance with the now-former Prince Sunstrider’s final decision before his departure, the Thalassian Legion adheres to the authority of the Regent Lord, Lor’themar Theron. However, since the title’s establishment centuries ago, the Ranger-General has been and continues to be the highest military authority in Quel’Thalas, serving as the commander of all military forces and overseeing the defenses of Silvermoon. As such, like any military force in Quel’Thalas, the Fourth Thalassian Legion’s High Command also falls under to this individual’s command—currently Halduron Brightwing—and the Ranger-General alone possesses the final authority in any and all major deployments of armed, naval, or aerial forces.

Out of Character

The Thalassian Legion is an 18+ heavy roleplay guild based in the North American roleplay server Wyrmrest Accord, and is primarily focused on storytelling around Thalassian Elves (Sin’dorei, Shal’dorei, Quel’dorei, Ren’dorei, San’layn, and Darkfallen). However, while these groups and Quel’Thalas as a whole are where we centralize our stories, it does not mean those of other races are unwelcome. It only means that our roleplay is very elf-centric. Furthermore, we are a military guild, so our roleplay is very militaristic—including but not limited to uniforms, a rigid command structure, minimal political roleplay, and a considerable amount of combat.

If any of this isn’t of interest or preference to you, then we probably aren’t the right guild for you.

However, if it is, then you’re right at home.

A military guild though we are, we ensure there is time for personal roleplay, as well. Being here should never mean you and your character are just a cog in a machine. If you have a story to tell, our Officer Core (or O-Core) will do their best to assist you in telling it, so long as we’re informed that you desire as much. We have an incredible community here, many of which are also active for roleplay outside of the week-to-week events. Furthermore, in joining, your character will get to choose between one of the Thalassian Legion’s three divisions, where you will be able to connect them to people of similar skillsets and build bonds.
